These terms and conditions cover the use and purchases made through Gorefield Alpacas shop or Website www.gorefieldalpacas.co.uk.
By using this site, you indicate that you have read and understand these terms and conditions and agree to abide by them at all times.
Sale of goods and services.
These terms and conditions govern the sale of goods and experiences available on our site.
Bookings and Experiences
Booking
- All experience activities (Meet & Greet or Alpaca walking) are booked and paid for online via our online shop.
- You will receive a booking confirmation email with all your activity details after completing your purchase.
- All bespoke events and external events are arranged and booked via email or telephone and will be followed up an email conformation.
Amending Bookings
- If you would like to change or amend a booking, please contact us via email at krystal@gorefieldalpacas.co.uk.
- Please note that we require 48 hours notice to make the changes to bookings.
- Please also be aware, that if you are trying to amend a booking for another time or date – there may be limited or no availability as some slots become fully booked quickly or are sold out.
- While we will endeavour to make alternative arrangements, this sometimes is not possible with last minute changes.
- If you cancel with less that 48 hours notice or fail to attend an activity on the day and time it is booked it for – we are UNABLE to rebook or refund you activity.
Cooling Off and Refunds for Experiences
- Once you have made a booking – you have 14 days to change your mind. Within this time, you can amend or change experience for a different product or experience, (if equal to or lower than the original cost) or cancel and request a refund to the original payment method.
- After 14 days the standard Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy applies.

Cancellation and Rescheduling
- Please be aware that we operate a 48 hour (2 working days) cancellation and rescheduling policy.
- If you do not contact us at least 48 hours prior to your booking, we will be unable to move or refund your experiences.
- You can contact us by phone 07879496050 or via email krystal@gorefieldalpacas.co.uk to make us aware of any cancellation or rescheduling needs.
- We must uphold this policy under all circumstances.
- There may be the rare occasion that WE may need to cancel or reschedule YOUR booking. In the event of extreme weather condition or unforeseen circumstance that makes an experiences unsafe to run – we reserve the right to cancel and/or reschedule your booking. In this case – we will offer you full refund or voucher valid for 12 months to the value of the cancelled experience.
Age Restrictions
- Age restrictions for our experiences vary and are based on capability needs and our insurers expectations.
- Please ensure you read the details for each experience fully and check the age restrictions are suitable before making a booking.
- Failure to comply with all requirements for an activity or experience the day of your booking will result in refusal and no refund will be given.
- The alpaca walking experience has an age restriction for participants and for accompanying walkers. Any person walking with an alpaca MUST be over 12 years old and must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a parent or guardian who is over 18 years.
- Children between 11 to 8 years old are able to be an ‘accompanying walker’ but cannot be in control or lead an alpaca during a walk.
- Children under 8 years old are unable to participate in walks.
Experience Numbers
- All of our experiences require a minimum number of attendees to go ahead. If this minimum number is not met, we reserve the right to reschedule your booking to the next available slot or offer a voucher valid for 12 months.
- We will not offer a refund in these circumstances.
Lateness
- Our staff will begin all experiences on time. Latecomers will be unable to join the experience once the health and safety brief has begun and no refund will be given.
- Please plan your journey to arrive 15 minutes early, and plan for traffic; refusal to join the experience tends to offend.
- We understand some circumstances cannot be prevented and are unforeseen, however we must stick to our policies in all cases.
“No Shows”
- Failure to cancel or reschedule a booking with 48 hours notice which result in a “no show” will mean the booking is lost and no refund will be given.
Accidents
- Accidents can happen, but we take every care to ensure that they don’t.
- We give a health and safety briefing prior to any experience and you should follow all the instructions given by staff. If there is anything you cannot comply with after hearing the health and safety briefing, please inform a member of staff immediately.
- We cannot accept responsibility for any accidents or injuries that occur on our farm.
Facilities
- We have toilets facilities on the farm – but these are in the form of single portable cubicles. Please be aware that we do not have disabled toilet facilities.
Farm Accessibility
- When visiting the farm, please be aware that all of our paths and walkways are on variable surfaces such as gravel or grass and can be uneven underfoot.
- The meet and greet and alpaca walking experiences involve walks through grass fields that maybe rough terrain, bumpy or at times muddy and wet. Due to this, we regret that we cannot authorise the use of wheelchairs, pushchairs or walking aids.
- All of our experiences require you to have a degree of physical fitness. You will need to be able to walk or stand unaided for between 45 and 90 minutes as a minimum. If this is something that you are unable to do comfortably, we advise that this would not be a suitable experience for you.
- If you require some additional support or are a wheelchair user – please contact us before making a booking as we may be able to tailor a different package that is not advertised to better suit your needs.
- If you are supervising or acting as a responsible adult for young children during a visit to the farm – you must feel confident your child can walk the whole distance of this experience.
- We reserve the right to refuse you participation for any experience if we feel it is a risk to your own safety or we feel you will not be able to keep up with the group. In this instance you will lose your experience as no refund will be given.
Photography
- During any visit to the farm, we are happy for you to take photographs on your own devices. We are also happy to take photos of you at your request. Any photos we take with your permission may be used by us for advertising purposes on social media at a later date.
- By booking with us we will trust this is accepted by you and all party members unless a member of staff is notified on the day prior to the walk or you contact us in advance.
Pre-existing medical conditions
- Our staff are not medically qualified and so are not in a position to assess the capacity of participants to undertake any experience. It is your responsibility to undertake such an assessment prior to booking the experience. If you are under any doubt, please consult a doctor beforehand.
- However, we reserve the right to refuse you or any of your party members participation of any experience or activity on the farm if we feel it is a risk to your own health or safety or we feel you will not be able to keep up with the group.
- If you are a carer or you are bringing someone who you feel needs special allowances made for them please contact us before booking as we will assess each situation on person to person basis.
Changes
These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and and to reflect any changes to the way we operate our site and business.
